Supported Languages
FieldSocio supports ASR for 13 Indian languages:
| Tier | Languages |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, English |
| Tier 2 | Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu |
Accuracy
ASR accuracy varies by:
- Audio quality — Clear recordings in quiet environments produce the best results
- Language — Tier 1 languages have more training data and higher accuracy
- Speaker clarity — Clear speech improves recognition
- Dialect — Standard dialects are better recognized than regional variants
Editing Transcripts
After transcription:
- Review the full transcript in the interview detail view
- Edit any errors directly in the transcript
- Changes are saved and synced to the cloud
Translation
Transcripts in Indian languages can be automatically translated to English. Translation happens as part of the AI pipeline after transcription completes.
