Seasonal calendars capture how activities, resources, and events vary across the year. They’re useful for understanding agricultural cycles, migration patterns, health trends, and livelihood strategies.
Creating a Seasonal Calendar
- Select Seasonal Calendar from PRA Tools
- Define the time axis — months, seasons, or custom periods
- Add rows for each category:
- Agricultural activities
- Income sources
- Migration patterns
- Health issues
- Festivals and events
- Weather patterns
- With participants, fill in the intensity or occurrence for each cell
Output
- Grid showing activity patterns across time periods
- Participant notes explaining patterns
- Exportable data for further analysis
